Personal Profile Information: We collect your chosen Display Name, Target Exam Goal (e.g. UPSC CSE, SSC CGL, RRB NTPC, Banking IBPS/SBI, State PSC), State/UT, and District/City. District and state details are utilized solely for regional leaderboard segmentation.

Age Verification & Eligibility: To comply with Indian digital laws and protect minors, we collect your age bracket. Student Ranker is designed for aspirants aged 13 years and above. Aspirants below 18 years must utilize the service under parental or legal guardian supervision.

Illustrated Vector Avatars: We provide a curated selection of pre-rendered student avatars. We do NOT require or solicit real-world camera photos or device photo gallery access, ensuring maximum student privacy and preventing unauthorized photo distribution.

Student Ranker does not claim ownership of official government question paper formats.

3. Disciplinary Suspension: Accounts terminated or suspended due to cheating, using modded APKs, auto-clickers, hate speech, vulgarity in student chat, or win-trading forfeit all remaining subscription duration without refund.

OFFICIAL NOTIFICATIONS & ADMIT CARDS: Student Ranker does not issue official exam notifications, admit cards, or government recruitment results. All aspirants must cross-verify exam dates, syllabi, and official answer keys on respective statutory government portals (e.g., upsc.gov.in, ssc.gov.in, indianrailways.gov.in).

TRADEMARKS & FAIR DEALING: Examination acronyms, syllabi references, and exam titles (e.g. "UPSC CSE", "SSC CGL", "RRB NTPC") are registered trademarks of their statutory authorities. Their mention in Student Ranker is strictly descriptive and for reference under the doctrine of Educational Fair Dealing under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

Handle Mechanics: Every aspirant registers a globally unique @username (3 to 20 characters, lowercase letters, digits, underscores, no spaces). This handle acts as your permanent peer address across the platform.

Strict Prohibition of Impersonation: You may NOT register handles that impersonate government officials, civil servants, UPSC toppers, public dignitaries, coaching institutions, or trademarks (e.g. @upsc_official, @ias_chairman, @drishti_ias). Any such handle will be revoked immediately without notice.

Single Account Rule: Each student is permitted one active primary account. Creating multiple dummy accounts to manipulate 1v1 battle results, boost leaderboard ranks, or farm virtual coins is strictly prohibited and results in permanent hardware suspension.

एक छात्र - एक खाता नियम: नकली खाते बनाने पर डिवाइस को हमेशा के लिए बैन कर दिया जाएगा।

Handle Reclamation: We reserve the right to reclaim handles that remain inactive for more than 180 days or handles that infringe upon verified statutory rights.

Virtual Stake Escrow: To enter a 1v1 battle, both candidates deposit an agreed virtual coin stake into the match escrow. The platform awards the total pot (less platform maintenance fee in virtual coins) to the winner upon match verification.

Negative Marking Rules: To replicate authentic competitive testing, questions in the 1v1 Battle Arena carry UPSC standard negative marking (+2.0 for correct, −0.66 for incorrect, 0 for skipped). High negative marks reduce your net score and can lead to defeat even with high speed.

Disconnection & Forfeiture Policy: If a candidate minimizes the app, force-closes the screen, experiences network failure, or rage-quits mid-match, the match is deemed immediately forfeited. The active candidate is awarded victory and the full escrow pot.

Prohibition on Win-Trading: Deliberately coordinating with a friend to forfeit matches and transfer virtual coins is a punishable offence resulting in ELO rating reset to 0 and coin balance freezing.

EXCLUSIVELY FICTIONAL SCORE POINTS: The ladder ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹7 Crore is an educational gamification format inspired by general knowledge television shows. The currency symbols ("₹", "INR") and values are artistic game score indicators only.

AS-IS Provision: The service is delivered on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we commit maximum technical effort toward 99.9% uptime and rigorous question validation, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular examination purpose.

No Liability for Exam Outcomes: In no event shall Student Ranker, its directors, developers, or academic contributors be liable for failure to pass or qualify any official exam, typographical errors in answer keys, or temporary downtime.

Maximum Financial Liability: Our cumulative aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fee paid by that user in the preceding 3 months.

Applicable Indian Law: These Terms and all relationships between users and the Platform shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India.

Arbitration Clause: Any unresolved dispute, controversy, or claim shall be referred to and conclusively resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in New Delhi in the English language.
